About Us

Glad Tidings was organized more than fifty years ago as a staple of great faith in Columbus, Georgia. Today, Glad Tidings, is still ministering to generations under the leadership of our senior pastor and teacher Dionne Lester. We exist to serve God and the community around us by providing God-honoring, bible based teaching, contemporary and authentic worship, and outreach support to local neighborhoods and schools as well as missionaries locally and around the world.

We are a church that believes in making purposeful connections while serving the community and growing disciples by spreading the message of the love of Jesus Christ.

Purpose

Our purpose is to CONNECT, SERVE AND GROW

Connect recognizes a focus on the vertical and horizontal relationships in life, beginning with the process of salvation and continuing through building spiritually strong relationships

Serve is about giving people outlets for the use of their gifts and abilities and giving them an opportunity to find their place in ministry 

Grow embraces discipleship, how the church promotes spiritual formation in the lives of individuals, ministry teams, and the congregation “How do we grow to be more like Jesus?”
